Film has the Oscar, music has the Grammy and speculative fiction podcasting has The Parsec Award.
And it just so happens that Parsec nominations are now open.
So, um, if you like us — if you really like us — it wouldn’t hurt to click on over to their site and nominate Well Told Tales for the Best Speculative Fiction Magazine or Anthology Podcast award and/or the Best Speculative Fiction Story (Short Form) (mention your particular favorite story in the comments.)
It’s not like we’re clearing space in front of our big picture window for a major award or anything. It would be an honor just to be nominated.
Enjoy this profanity-laced promo from podcast novel big-shots Scott Sigler and J.C. Hutchins:

Get your Tivo’s ready — there’s a double-feature of Well Told Tales thesps on TV tonight. Another favorite WTT reader — and “Side Effects” star — Rachael Drummond will be profiled on TruTV show “Hollywood Heat” on Thursday at 11:30 p.m. ET/PT.
Rachael is an excellent dramatic actor. But she’s also very funny.
She’s a member of the Trophy Wife improv group at IO West and has been getting a lot of buzz (The Atlantic, AOL News) recently for her Hillary Clinton rap videos, which caught the attention of TruTV producers.
Congrats, Rachael!
Here’s one of her Hillary rap video:

Catch thespian Andy Hoff — one of our favorite Well Told Tales readers and the co-star of our 10-minute film “Side Effects” — as Agent Beames on the season finale of the CBS series “Without a Trace” at 10 p.m. ET/PT Thursday night .
Andy is a consummate pro. So we’re thrilled to see him do well.
Congrats, Andy!
Here’s the episode description on the CBS Web site:
The team searches for five people who are abducted at the same time from a coffee shop.

Greetings, loyal listeners and readers. You’ll notice we had a bit of makeover today.
In addition to the paint job, we’re adding a bunch of new content — comics, videos, text stories and a blog that will fill you in on all sorts of pulpy entertainment from around the Web and beyond.
Please take a look around, and then let us know what you think of the redesign. We’ve got comments on posts now, so you can sound off without the headache of registering.
Any and all requests/suggestions are warmly welcomed. And if you spot any goofs, let us know so we can sort ‘em out.
We’ll be rolling out more stuff regularly, so drop a bookmark or put us in your RSS reader.
Cheers,
Well Told Tales
