I'm shooting on a Panasonic DVX-100B.  Pretty nice camera, but not HD ... wondering if I oughta sell a kidney and upgrade.

What do you use?

We, Onyx Dragon Productions, own two Sony HDR -FX1000's and these are awesome!  We bought the first one in 2005 and have been in love ever since.  Well... not literally.   But any rate...

They're really awesome, cheap for the quality, durable and you can shoot in both HD and SD--which gives you options for projects, which is nice.

For editing, we're using Avid Liquid 7 and I am very fond of it.  I've gone through several editing systems, and thus far this one is my favorite--even above Final Cut Pro.  Though, there are a few things I miss about Final Cut... meh... can't win them all, all the time.

I'm out.

I use terrible cameras. I'm making a short film for my film course atm and I've been alternating between cheap hand held cameras and occasionally just using regular digital cameras. I'm really new to film making but I'm enjoying the process so far. Later this year I'm going to university where they have some pretty nice HD equipment so I'll look forward to using that.
