Paul D’Ambrosio, writer

Paul D’Ambrosio is one of the most honored journalists in the nation. As the Investigations Editor for the Asbury Park (NJ) Press, he has exposed political corruption, insider deals, deadly medical mistakes, bureaucratic bumbling, and wasteful government spending.

His writings have won more than two-dozen national awards, including the coveted Selden Ring Award for Investigative Reporting, the Farfel Prize, the National Headliner Award for Public Service, the APME Public Service Award, and three National Press Club honors. He has twice been named the Daily Journalist of the Year by the New Jersey Press Association.

His work has dramatically changed the political scene in New Jersey, from the passage of a workable open public records law to better government ethics. Honest lawmakers have followed his calls to rail against corruption, pay-to-play abuses, and nepotism and cronyism.

During his career, Paul has covered more than 100 homicide cases, ranging from street shootings to real-life, high-tension whodunit court dramas.

Paul is also a national expert in a branch of journalism called Computer-Assisted Reporting, in which he uses high-tech computer programs to ferret out government waste and abuses.

He lives on the Jersey Shore with his wife and two boys.

‘Cold Rolled Dead’

Paul’s novel “Cold Rolled Dead” — about crime and corruption at the Jersey Shore — is available from Amazon.com and from Down The Shore Publishing.
