Steve Cobb, artist

Steve Cobb was born nine months after his parents had sex. He was more than likely cold, as most newborn babies are. It wasn’t long before he picked up a pencil and discovered his true calling.

Poking bugs in the guts was a passion he grasped at an early age. He also liked to draw and of the two arts it was the one slightly more in demand — but not by much.

By the time he was seventeen, he enrolled in art school like most aspiring doodlers do.  After spending more money then he’ll ever hope to see in a lifetime, Steve began to focus on his goal of being a comic book artist.

Many days and nights, the young man slaved away as those around him danced and drank their fill. Many times he kept from straying too far from his worn but trusty drawing table that sat patiently in the corner of his stale room. Its impression weighed heavily on the carpet below. A carpet hardened by layers of lead and wood shavings from years of grinding sticks into painful hand cramping nubs. Eventually, he hooked up with a crew out of Arizona where he began coloring comics professionally.

After a few years, Steve disappeared for a short time and stopped coloring altogether. It’s not known what truly happened, but some say he went to China and became a caged knife fighter. It’s only speculation of course.

Now the young man has returned and is currently working on two projects. His creator-owned “Distant Corner” and a team-up project with writer Stephen Lindsay called “Jesus Hates Zombies”.

Jesus Hates Zombies is now in PREVIEWS. B/W - 39 pages - Written By Stephen Lindsay - Art by Steve Cobb.
